To start the Toro Z Master Z560 74261, first ensure the parking brake is engaged. Set the throttle to the mid-speed position, turn the key to the 'ON' position, and then to 'START' until the engine starts. Release the key immediately once the engine starts.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Ensure you use the correct oil type as specified in the manual.
Check if the mower deck is level. Inspect the blades for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Adjust the tire pressure to the recommended levels and ensure the deck is free of debris.
Ensure the fuel tank has gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Make sure the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
Reduce speed while on slopes and avoid making sharp turns. Ensure the tires are properly inflated and consider using tire chains or wheel weights if necessary for additional traction.
Inspect the blades regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blades as needed. Tighten the blade bolts to the recommended torque specifications.
Check for debris lodged in the blades or under the deck. Inspect the blades for balance and damage. Ensure all mounting bolts and nuts are secure.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed. Check if the ground speed is too fast for the conditions. Inspect the underside of the deck for grass buildup and clean if necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform necessary maintenance such as oil changes and blade sharpening. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area, and consider using a fuel stabilizer to protect the engine.
