To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever located on the mower's side. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, which ranges from 1.5 inches to 4.5 inches in increments.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the battery is charged and the spark plugs are functioning. If the problem persists, inspect the air filter and fuel filter for blockages.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for optimal performance.
The Toro Z Master Z355 uses 48-inch blades. To replace them, ensure the mower is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected. Lift the mower safely, remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and securely tighten the bolt.
Uneven mowing can be caused by an incorrectly leveled deck, worn blades, or tire pressure discrepancies. Check and adjust these components to resolve the issue.
To improve fuel efficiency, regularly maintain your mower by cleaning the air filter, ensuring the blades are sharp, and using the recommended fuel type. Regular oil changes and keeping the mower deck clean also help.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and goggles. Be aware of your surroundings, and avoid mowing on wet or steep slopes. Ensure all safety guards are in place, and never leave the mower unattended while it's running.
To winterize your mower, clean the deck thoroughly, change the oil, remove and store the battery, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered place.
Check the transmission oil level regularly and replace the oil and filter every 400 hours of operation or as specified in the manual. Use only recommended oil types for hydrostatic systems.
Vibration can result from unbalanced blades, loose components, or debris caught in the deck. Inspect and balance the blades, tighten any loose parts, and clean the deck thoroughly.
