To adjust the cutting height, use the height-of-cut lever located next to the seat. Move the lever to the desired position, aligning it with the height-of-cut decal. Ensure the mower is on a flat surface for an accurate adjustment.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the battery is charged and the connections are secure. Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is off. If it still won't start, inspect the spark plug and air filter.
The oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of use and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for optimal performance.
Inspect the blades regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace blades as needed. Ensure the blades are balanced to prevent vibration. Tighten the blade bolts to the specified torque.
Check that the tire pressure is equal on both sides. Ensure the deck is level by adjusting the deck leveling bolts. Inspect the blades for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for the front tires and 12 psi for the rear tires. Regularly check and adjust the pressure to ensure optimal performance and even cutting.
Ensure the air filter and fuel filter are clean. Use fresh, clean fuel and maintain proper tire pressure. Regularly service the engine and keep the blades sharp to reduce engine load.
Check for debris caught in the deck or around the blades. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened to the correct specifications.
After each use, clean the deck with a garden hose while the engine is cool. Avoid using high pressure, which can damage components. Scrape off any accumulated grass clippings or debris.
Clean the mower thoroughly. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Change the oil and filter. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Keep the mower in a dry, covered area.
