Perform a general inspection before each use. Change the engine oil every 100 operating hours, clean the air filter every 25 hours, and replace it every 100 hours. Check and tighten any loose bolts and belts on a regular basis.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
Use the height adjustment lever located on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height between 1.5 to 4.5 inches.
Ensure the mower blades are sharp and balanced. Check tire pressure for consistency on all tires. Inspect the mower deck for levelness and adjust if necessary.
First, remove the mower deck. Release the tension on the old belt, remove it, and install the new belt following the same routing path. Re-tension the belt and reattach the mower deck.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly maintain the engine, keep the air filter clean, ensure the blades are sharp, and avoid mowing at full throttle when not necessary.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for the front tires and 15 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and charge the battery. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a stick or tool to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid using hands to prevent injury.
