To start the Toro Z Master Z590-D mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is turned off, and the throttle is set to the 'fast' position. Insert the key and turn it to start the engine. Release the key once the engine starts.
If the mower deck is not engaging, check that the PTO switch is on. Ensure that the engine is running at full throttle and check the belt for any signs of wear or damage. Inspect the PTO clutch for any electrical issues.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation and then after every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always use the oil type specified in the user manual.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 13 psi, and for the rear tires, it is 15 psi. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold for accurate readings.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the deck lift lever on the left side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, which ranges from 1.5 to 5 inches. Ensure the deck is level for an even cut.
If the mower is not starting, verify that there is fuel in the tank and the fuel valve is open. Check the battery connections, fuses, and ensure the spark plugs are clean and in good condition.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil and air filter, inspecting the blades and belts, checking tire pressure, cleaning the deck, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are secure. Refer to the maintenance schedule in the manual for detailed intervals.
The Toro Z Master Z590-D mower is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
For uneven cutting, ensure that the mower deck is level and the blades are sharp and balanced. Check tire pressure and adjust if necessary. Make sure that there is no debris blocking the discharge chute.
To store the mower for winter, clean it thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower and store it in a sheltered area to protect it from the elements.
