Ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Check that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in neutral. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position and release once the engine starts.
Check if the PTO switch is in the 'On' position. Ensure the engine is running at full throttle. Inspect the belt for any damage or misalignment, and ensure the connections to the PTO clutch are secure.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 100 hours thereafter. Be sure to use oil that meets Toro’s specifications.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10, as they can damage the engine.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Adjust the cutting height according to the grass type and condition. Keep the deck clean and free of debris.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for the rear tires and 15 psi for the front tires. Regularly check and maintain proper tire pressure for optimal performance.
Check if the mower deck is level. Inspect the blades for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the tire pressure is even and correct.
Clean the mower thoroughly to remove debris and clippings. Change the oil and filter, lubricate all grease points, and charge the battery. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
To adjust the tracking, adjust the motion control linkages located at the rear of the mower. Consult the owner’s manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and eye protection. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid mowing on steep slopes. Keep bystanders and pets away from the mowing area.
