Ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Engage the parking brake, set the throttle to 'fast', and ensure the PTO switch is off. Turn the key to the 'start' position until the engine starts, then release the key.
First, check that the PTO switch is in the 'on' position. If the problem persists, inspect the belts and blades for damage or obstructions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure.
For optimal performance, change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Ensure blades are sharp and balanced. Adjust the deck level and pitch according to the manual. Regularly clean the underside of the deck to prevent grass buildup.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean it by gently tapping to remove dirt and replace it if it's damaged or excessively dirty.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose components, or debris caught in the mower. Check and tighten all fasteners and remove any debris.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them as needed. Ensure the battery is securely mounted and charge it if the mower is not used for extended periods.
Maintain the tire pressure between 10-12 psi for the front tires and 8-10 psi for the rear tires for optimal performance and comfort.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug and replace if necessary. Verify that the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
Check that the deck is level from side to side and front to back. Ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed. Adjust tire pressure and examine for any obstructions under the deck.
