To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'Start' position. Once the engine starts, release the key.
First, check if the PTO switch is in the 'On' position. Ensure that the engine is running at full throttle and that the mower deck is not clogged. If the problem persists, inspect the PTO switch and wiring for any damages or loose connections.
The oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Regular oil checks are recommended to maintain engine performance.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 13 psi and 10 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold for an accurate reading.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height-of-cut lever located near the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired position, aligning it with the height-of-cut decal for the preferred cutting height.
Ensure the battery is fully charged and the terminals are clean. Check fuel levels and ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open. Verify that the spark plug is in good condition and replace it if necessary.
First, ensure the mower is off and cool. Use a garden hose with a spray nozzle to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid using high-pressure washers which may damage components.
Maintain a regular maintenance schedule, including oil changes and air filter replacements. Keep the blades sharp and the tires properly inflated to reduce engine strain and improve efficiency.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and eye protection. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid operating the mower on steep slopes. Ensure bystanders are at a safe distance before engaging the blades.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance, such as oil changes and blade sharpening. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area, and disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
