To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in neutral. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Perform daily checks before operation, such as inspecting the air filter, oil level, and tires. Change the oil every 100 hours and replace the air filter every 200 hours. Refer to the manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
Check for fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plugs for wear. Make sure all safety switches are engaged. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
Use SAE 10W-30 oil for general use. In colder temperatures, SAE 5W-30 can be used. Always ensure the oil meets or exceeds API service classification SJ or higher.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height-of-cut lever next to the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired height setting, which ranges from 1.5 to 5 inches.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the mower deck belt for wear or damage and ensure it is properly tensioned. If issues persist, inspect the PTO clutch and consult a professional if necessary.
After use, allow the mower to cool down and use a low-pressure hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage components. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and stabilize the fuel. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower and store it in a sheltered area.
To adjust the tracking, operate the mower on a flat surface and observe the tracking. Adjust the tracking rod on the side that needs correction until the mower tracks straight. Consult the manual for detailed steps.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades, worn-out bearings, or loose components. Check the blades for balance and tighten any loose parts. Replace bearings if necessary.
