To start the mower, ensure that the PTO switch is disengaged, the parking brake is engaged, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always check the oil level before each use.
Maintain the tire pressure at 13 psi (90 kPa) for the rear tires and 13 psi (90 kPa) for the front tires for optimal performance and safety.
Check that the battery is charged, the fuel tank is filled, and the fuel valve is open. Ensure the spark plug is in good condition and replace it if necessary. Verify that all safety interlocks are engaged.
To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever to raise or lower the deck. Refer to the height of cut decal on the mower for precise height settings.
Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup. Check and sharpen the blades as needed, and inspect belts and pulleys for wear or damage. Lubricate deck spindles and other moving parts per the maintenance schedule.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Locate the air filter cover on the engine, remove the cover, and take out the old filter. Insert a new air filter, ensuring it is seated correctly, and replace the cover securely.
Ensure the PTO switch is engaged and check the belt for proper tension and condition. Examine the electrical connections to the PTO clutch and replace any damaged components.
