To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain into a pan. Replace the drain plug, add new oil through the oil fill, and check the level with the dipstick.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends above E10 as they can cause engine problems.
Check if the fuel tank is empty, the spark plug is disconnected, or the battery is dead. Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is off. If these steps do not work, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired height setting. Ensure the deck is level for an even cut.
Perform regular maintenance such as checking and changing the oil every 50 hours, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blades as needed. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them as needed. Ensure that the mower deck is level and that the tire pressure is even on all wheels.
Stop the mower and allow the engine to cool. Check for debris blocking the air intake or cooling fins, and remove it. Ensure that the oil and coolant levels are adequate.
Disconnect the spark plug and raise the mower deck. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt and replace the old blade with a new one. Secure the new blade by tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass as it can lead to clogging, uneven cuts, and increased wear on the mower. Wait until the grass is dry for optimal performance.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform all necessary maintenance. Drain or stabilize the fuel, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
