To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to your desired cutting height setting, ensuring it clicks into place. Refer to the owner's manual for specific height settings.
Check if the mower has fuel and that the fuel valve is open. Ensure the battery is charged and connected properly. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Also, make sure the PTO switch is in the off position.
Regular maintenance, such as changing the air filter, spark plug, and oil, can improve fuel efficiency. Ensure the tires are properly inflated and the blades are sharp to reduce engine strain.
Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Sharpen the blades every 20-25 hours of use or more frequently if cutting in sandy or rough conditions. Replace any bent or cracked blades immediately.
Check if the mower deck is level and adjust if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and balance, and ensure the tire pressures are equal. Verify that the cutting height is set uniformly across the deck.
After each use, use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid using high pressure, which can damage components. Allow the deck to dry completely before storing the mower.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance and replace if necessary. Check if all bolts and fasteners are tightened properly. Ensure there is no debris lodged in the mower deck or engine area.
Locate the air filter cover on the engine, remove it, and take out the old air filter. Insert the new air filter in the same orientation and replace the cover securely. Refer to the manual for the correct filter type.
Clean the mower thoroughly and remove any debris. Change the oil and replace the oil filter. Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use the oil grade recommended in the owner’s manual for optimal performance.
