To start the mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is in the "OFF" position, and the motion control levers are in the neutral lock position. Then, turn the ignition key to the "Start" position.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the "ON" position. Also, inspect the mower deck belt for any signs of wear or damage, and ensure the belt is properly tensioned.
The oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of use and then every 100 hours of operation thereafter. Always use the recommended oil type and check the oil level regularly.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Check the tire pressure, as uneven pressure can affect the cutting pattern. Also, mow at the appropriate speed for the grass conditions.
First, stop the mower and allow the engine to cool. Check the cooling fins and air intake for any debris. Ensure the engine oil level is correct, and inspect the radiator for coolant level and leaks.
To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever to raise or lower the deck to the desired height. Refer to the cutting height adjustment chart in the user manual for specific settings.
Regular maintenance tasks include checking and changing the oil, inspecting and cleaning the air filter, sharpening the blades, checking tire pressure, and inspecting belts and hoses for wear.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or worn-out bearings. Inspect these components and replace or repair as necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Ensure the parking brake is fully released. Check the drive belt for wear or damage and make sure it is properly tensioned. Also, inspect the hydrostatic drive system for any leaks or issues.
