To start the mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the drive levers are in the neutral position. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'Start' position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check that the battery is charged, all safety switches are engaged, and there is enough fuel. Inspect the spark plug for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure that the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always use the oil type recommended in the owner's manual.
Maintain the front tires at 13 psi and the rear tires at 15 psi. Proper tire pressure ensures even mowing and extends tire life.
Check the tire pressure, deck leveling, and blade sharpness. Ensure that the deck is clean from debris and the blades are not worn or damaged. Adjust the deck if necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and sharpen the blades. Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Disconnect the battery and store the mower in a dry place.
Use the height-of-cut lever located on the side of the mower. Adjust to the desired height by moving the lever to one of the preset positions. Ensure the deck is level for even cutting.
Check for loose or damaged blades and tighten or replace them as necessary. Inspect the deck for debris and clean it. Ensure all mounting bolts are secure.
Regularly maintain the engine by changing the oil, replacing the air filter, and keeping the blades sharp. Avoid mowing wet grass and maintain proper tire pressure.
Check the PTO switch and make sure it is functioning correctly. Inspect the belts for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure that all wiring connections are secure.
