To adjust the cutting height, locate the height-of-cut lever on the mower's side. Shift the lever to the desired position, which is marked clearly on the deck for your convenience.
First, ensure the PTO switch is engaged. Check the belt for any signs of wear or damage and ensure it is properly tensioned. If the problem persists, inspect the electrical connections to the PTO switch and clutch.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours thereafter, or annually, whichever comes first. Always use high-quality oil recommended by Toro.
Uneven cutting could be due to a dull blade, incorrect deck leveling, or clogged deck. Sharpen the blades, ensure the deck is level, and clean any debris from the deck to improve cutting performance.
The recommended tire pressure is typically between 13-15 psi for the rear tires and 11-13 psi for the front tires. Always check the operator’s manual for your specific model.
Check the battery connections and charge level. Ensure the fuel valve is open, the choke is engaged if the engine is cold, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
Perform an oil change, clean the mower thoroughly, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Add a fuel stabilizer to the tank to prevent fuel degradation.
Start by disconnecting the spark plug. Lift the mower deck and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with the new blade, ensuring it is installed in the correct orientation, and tighten the bolt securely.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose engine mounting bolts, or debris caught in the deck. Check and balance the blades, tighten any loose components, and clear any obstructions from the deck.
Regular maintenance such as cleaning or replacing the air filter, ensuring the spark plug is in good condition, and maintaining proper tire pressure can help improve fuel efficiency.
