Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to 'Fast'. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is turned on. Inspect the belt for wear or damage and ensure it is properly tensioned.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 100 hours thereafter, or annually, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for front tires and 15 psi for rear tires.
Use the height-of-cut lever located near the operator’s seat to adjust the deck height to the desired position.
Inspect the blades for sharpness and balance. Check tire pressures and ensure the deck is level.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and verify the fuel level. Inspect the spark plugs for wear.
Perform an oil change, replace the air filter, inspect and replace spark plugs if necessary, and lubricate all grease fittings.
Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high-pressure washers which can damage the components.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, disengage the PTO before starting, and never operate on steep slopes.
