The recommended maintenance schedule includes checking engine oil levels daily, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, sharpening blades every 50 hours, and changing engine oil every 100 hours. Refer to your owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
Ensure the PTO switch is off, the parking brake is set, and the battery is charged. Check for loose or corroded battery connections and ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open. Refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual for more details.
Use SAE 10W-30 oil for general use. In hotter conditions, SAE 30 may be more appropriate. Always check your manual for temperature-specific recommendations.
To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever to set the desired height. Ensure the mower is on a flat surface and adjust both sides evenly for uniform cutting.
Regular maintenance, such as keeping the air filter and spark plugs clean, ensuring proper tire pressure, and using the recommended oil type, can improve fuel efficiency. Avoid mowing at full throttle unless necessary.
Check to ensure the PTO switch is engaged and the drive belts are intact and properly tensioned. Inspect the wiring and connections for any damage or disconnections.
First, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Remove the belt covers and release the belt tension. Replace the old belt with a new one following the belt routing diagram provided in the manual.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as goggles and gloves. Be aware of your surroundings, avoid mowing in reverse unless necessary, and do not operate on steep inclines to prevent tipping.
Ensure the deck is level and the anti-scalp rollers are adjusted properly. Avoid making sharp turns and mowing at high speeds, especially on uneven terrain.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove any debris, and perform all necessary maintenance. Stabilize the fuel, change the oil, and store the mower in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery if storing for an extended period.
