To adjust the cutting height, locate the deck lift lever on the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position marked on the mower, ranging typically from 1.5 to 5 inches. Make sure the deck is securely locked in place before mowing.
First, ensure that the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch is engaged. If the blades still do not engage, check for any blown fuses and ensure the battery is fully charged. Inspect the belt for any damage or misalignment. If issues persist, consult the user manual or contact a professional technician.
It is recommended to perform an engine oil change every 100 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. Additionally, replace the oil filter and inspect the air filter regularly, cleaning or replacing them as necessary.
The mower is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent potential engine issues.
To improve traction, reduce speed when mowing on slopes and ensure the tires are properly inflated. Avoid sudden starts and stops, and consider using wheel weights or a counterbalance if traction is still an issue.
Before storing the mower for winter, clean the mower deck and remove any grass clippings. Change the engine oil and replace the oil filter. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gasoline and run the engine for a few minutes. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
To replace the mower blades, park the mower on a flat surface and engage the parking brake. Use a block of wood to prevent the blades from turning. Remove the blade bolt and washer, then replace the old blade with a new one. Ensure the blade is installed with the cutting edge facing the correct direction before tightening the bolt securely.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, an uneven mower deck, or improper tire pressure. Sharpen or replace the mower blades, adjust the deck level, and ensure all tires are equally inflated to resolve the issue.
If the engine won't start, check for sufficient fuel in the tank and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the battery connections are secure and the battery is charged. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace it if necessary.
Always wear appropriate safety gear such as goggles and gloves. Ensure the area is clear of debris and bystanders before mowing. Avoid mowing on wet grass to prevent slipping. Never make adjustments while the mower is running. Follow all safety instructions outlined in the user manual.
