To start the Toro Wheel Horse Recycler 70141 Mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is in the 'fast' position. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Additionally, make sure the safety interlock switches are functioning correctly.
To improve cutting performance, regularly sharpen the blades, adjust the cutting height to suit the grass type, and mow at the correct speed. Ensure the underside of the deck is clean from grass clippings.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting and replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and checking tire pressure. Refer to your owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the plug, and refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Uncut patches may be due to dull blades, incorrect deck height, or mowing too quickly. Ensure blades are sharp, adjust your cutting height, and slow down your mowing speed for a clean cut.
To replace the spark plug, first disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Install the new plug, tighten it with the wrench, and reconnect the spark plug wire.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or damaged components. Check the blades for balance and inspect the mower for any loose or damaged parts. Tighten or replace as needed.
To winterize your mower, clean the deck and blades, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and store the mower in a dry place. Disconnect the battery and store it separately if possible.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
