Ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Check that the fuel tank is filled, and the oil level is adequate. Engage the parking brake, shift the gear to neutral, and pull out the choke. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then push the choke in.
Check the fuel level, battery connection, and spark plug. Ensure the safety switches are engaged and inspect the air filter for clogs. If these are all in order, consult the user manual or contact a service professional.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season. Always use the oil type specified in the user manual.
Regularly clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Check and tighten any loose bolts. Sharpen or replace the blades as needed, typically once per mowing season.
Check that the tire pressure is even and adjust if necessary. Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Inspect the deck for levelness and adjust it accordingly.
Verify that the PTO (Power Take-Off) lever is fully engaged. Check the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if needed. Inspect the PTO switch and wiring for any issues.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation. Change the oil and clean the mower thoroughly. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Excessive vibration could be due to unbalanced blades, loose components, or worn belts. Check and balance the blades, ensure all bolts and nuts are tight, and inspect the belts for wear.
Locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. Ensure the adjustment is even across the deck to maintain a uniform cut.
Always wear protective eyewear and sturdy footwear. Clear the mowing area of debris before starting. Avoid mowing on wet grass to prevent slipping. Never leave the mower unattended while it is running.
