To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, throttle is set to 'choke' for a cold start, and the parking brake is engaged. Then, turn the key to the start position.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced. Also, ensure the mower deck is level and adjust the cutting height as needed.
Ensure the underside of the deck is clean, use sharp blades, and mow when the grass is dry. Adjust the cutting height to allow for mulching efficiency.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and examine the spark plug for signs of wear or damage. Verify that all safety switches are engaged.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect and sharpen blades, and lubricate moving parts as specified in the manual.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to achieve the preferred cutting height.
Check for debris lodged in the deck, inspect blades for balance, and verify that the deck is securely attached and level.
Drain the fuel system or add fuel stabilizer, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the battery if necessary.
Inspect the air filter for clogs, ensure the fuel is fresh, and check the carburetor for blockages. Also, examine the spark plug for wear.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first.
