To change the oil, ensure the tractor is on a level surface, turn off the engine, and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely, replace the drain plug, and refill with the recommended oil grade.
First, check the battery connections and charge or replace the battery if necessary. Ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if needed.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring both sides are set to the same height for an even cut.
Perform an oil change every 50 hours of operation. Check and clean the air filter every 25 hours, and replace as needed. Sharpen or replace mower blades at the start of each season. Inspect belts and replace if worn.
Inspect the mower deck for levelness and adjust if necessary. Check the blades for sharpness and ensure they are properly installed. Adjust tire pressure to ensure the tractor is level.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10% as they can damage the engine.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the mower deck for easier access. Release the belt tension and remove the old belt. Install the new belt according to the diagram in the user manual and reassemble the deck.
Stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check for obstructions in the cooling fins and clean them. Ensure the engine oil level is adequate and inspect the air filter for clogs.
To winterize, clean the tractor thoroughly, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, and change the oil before storage.
To improve traction, consider adding wheel weights or tire chains. Adjust tire pressure as needed for better ground contact. Ensure the tires are in good condition and replace if worn.
