To change the oil, start by running the engine for a few minutes to warm up the oil. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Place an oil pan under the drain plug, remove the plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and amount as specified in the owner's manual.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion. Verify that there is enough fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. If the issue persists, the problem may be with the starter solenoid or ignition switch, and professional servicing may be required.
Ensure that the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Check the tire pressure to make sure it is even and correct. Adjust the cutting deck to the desired height and make sure it is level. Regularly clean the underside of the deck to prevent grass buildup.
The Toro Wheel Horse R120OE01 is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
The air filter should be checked before each use and cleaned or replaced if it appears dirty or clogged. Under normal usage conditions, replace the air filter every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and remove any grass clippings or debris. Change the oil and oil filter. Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Inflate tires to the recommended pressure and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Park the tractor on a level surface and turn off the engine. Adjust the deck height lever to the desired position. Ensure the deck is level from side to side by measuring the blade tips' distance to the ground and adjusting the lift links if necessary. Consult the owner's manual for detailed instructions specific to your model.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch to ensure it is in the correct position. Inspect the belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the clutch mechanism is functioning properly. If the problem persists, there may be an electrical issue requiring professional diagnostics.
Inspect the blades to ensure they are sharp and balanced. Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all sides. Verify that the cutting deck is level. Look for any obstructions or damage to the deck that might affect the cutting performance.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Check the gap of the new spark plug using a feeler gauge and adjust as necessary. Install the new plug by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with the wrench. Reattach the spark plug wire.
