Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, verify the spark plug is clean and connected, and check all safety features are engaged correctly.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the rear wheels to set the desired cutting height.
Inspect the blades regularly for damage and sharpness. Sharpen or replace the blades as needed, typically after every 25 hours of use.
Turn off the mower, remove the spark plug wire, and use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the deck. Allow it to dry before storing.
Check for debris caught in the blades or under the deck, ensure the blades are balanced, and inspect for any loose or damaged parts.
Adjust the tire pressure to match the specifications in the operator's manual and ensure the deck is properly leveled.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion, keep the battery charged, and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
