Ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is in the correct position, and the choke is engaged if the engine is cold. Turn the ignition key to start the mower.
Check the fuel level, spark plug, and battery connections. Ensure the safety switches are engaged and that the mower is in the correct gear.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F. For colder conditions, use 10W-30.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located on the side of the mower. Consult the manual for specific height settings.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged. Sharpen or replace them as necessary. Ensure the deck is clean and the drive belt is tensioned correctly.
Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris after each use. Avoid getting water on the engine. For thorough cleaning, remove the deck and clean manually.
Excessive vibration could be due to unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or damaged components. Inspect these parts and tighten or replace as needed.
Ensure regular maintenance such as changing the air filter, using the correct oil, and maintaining proper tire pressure. Avoid mowing at full throttle unless necessary.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, sharpen the blades, check tire pressure, and inspect belts and spark plugs.
