To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to 'fast'. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the battery connections, make sure the fuel tank is not empty, verify the spark plug is in good condition, and ensure the safety interlock switches are engaged.
Adjust the cutting height by using the lever located near the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 oil below 32°F (0°C). Refer to the owner's manual for further details.
Remove the blades by securing the blade and loosening the bolt with a wrench. Sharpen the blade using a file or a grinder, maintaining the original angle. Reinstall the blade securely.
Check for debris on the blades, ensure the blades are balanced and properly attached, and inspect for worn or damaged belts or pulleys.
To replace the drive belt, disengage the PTO, remove the mower deck, and release the tension on the belt. Remove the old belt and install the new one, ensuring proper routing.
Ensure that the tire pressure is correct, adjust the cutting height to avoid scalping, and consider using wheel weights for better traction.
Regularly check and clean the air filter, inspect and replace spark plugs as needed, check the tire pressure, and lubricate moving parts.
