To change the oil, position the mower on a flat surface. Remove the oil fill cap and place an oil pan under the engine. Unscrew the drain plug and let the old oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, add new oil through the fill cap, and check the level with the dipstick.
Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Tilt the mower to access the blades. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, then replace the old blade with a new one. Tighten the bolt securely and reconnect the spark plug.
Check that the fuel tank is full and the fuel is fresh. Ensure the spark plug is connected properly and not fouled. Inspect the air filter for clogs and clean or replace if necessary. Verify that the battery is charged and the cables are secure.
Clean the mower thoroughly, removing grass and debris. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Change the oil and replace the air filter. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Lastly, cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired height setting, ensuring all wheels are set to the same level. Refer to the user manual for recommended settings based on grass type and condition.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades. Check the blades for damage or imbalance and sharpen or replace them if necessary. Also, inspect the deck for debris buildup and clean it thoroughly.
Regular maintenance such as changing the oil, replacing the air filter, and keeping the blades sharp can improve fuel efficiency. Additionally, mow at optimal speeds and avoid cutting wet grass to reduce fuel consumption.
For optimal performance, use SAE 30 oil in temperatures above 32°F. In colder conditions, use SAE 10W-30. Always refer to the user manual for oil specifications and recommendations.
Disconnect the spark plug and set the mower on a flat surface. Remove the mower deck and locate the drive belt. Release the belt tension and remove the old belt. Install the new belt by following the belt routing diagram in the manual. Reattach the mower deck and connect the spark plug.
Inspect the blades for sharpness and balance. Ensure the tire pressure is equal on all wheels and the deck is level. Check for obstructions under the deck and adjust the cutting height if necessary.
