To start the mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the choke is engaged if the engine is cold. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position until the engine starts, then release it to the 'run' position.
Check if the PTO switch is in the 'on' position. Ensure the drive belt is properly aligned and not worn out. Examine the PTO clutch for any damage or loose connections.
It is recommended to change the oil after every 25 hours of use or at least once a season. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific maintenance schedules.
Ensure that there is sufficient fuel in the tank. Check the spark plug for dirt or damage and clean or replace it as necessary. Inspect the fuel filter for clogs and ensure the air filter is clean.
First, ensure the tire pressure is equal on all sides. Check if the mower deck is level and adjust it if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and wear, sharpening or replacing them as needed.
After each mowing session, use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings from the underside of the mower deck. Avoid using high-pressure water that may damage components.
It is generally recommended to use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and up to 10% ethanol. Avoid using fuels with higher ethanol content as they can cause engine damage.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance. Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area and cover it to protect it from dust and debris.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug and remove the mower deck. Release the tension on the belt tensioner, remove the old belt, and install the new belt following the belt routing diagram. Reassemble the mower deck.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check for blade damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Also, inspect the engine mounts and other hardware for looseness.
