To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and place a pan under the oil drain plug. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with new oil as specified in the owner's manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and that the battery is charged. If the mower still doesn't start, consult the user manual or contact a professional.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near the wheels. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck. Ensure both sides are set to the same height for an even cut.
Blades should be sharpened after every 25 hours of mowing or at least once per mowing season. Regularly inspect the blades for damage or wear and sharpen or replace them as needed.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris lodged in the mower deck. Inspect and balance the blades, tighten any loose parts, and clean the deck to resolve the issue.
Clean the mower thoroughly and remove any grass or debris. Drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer. Change the oil and remove the battery, storing it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower and store it in a sheltered area.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation or after each mowing season. Clean or replace the filter if it is dirty or damaged to ensure optimal engine performance.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the battery and remove the mower deck. Loosen the belt guides and remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt, ensuring it is routed correctly around all pulleys, then re-tighten the belt guides and reattach the deck.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, improper deck leveling, or uneven tire pressure. Check and sharpen the blades, adjust the deck height to ensure it's level, and inflate tires to the recommended pressure.
