To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade control lever is in the 'off' position, and the throttle is set to 'fast'. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the battery for charge, and confirm all safety switches are engaged. If it still won't start, consult the manual or a professional.
Regularly inspect the blades for wear or damage. Sharpen them at least once a season and replace if they are bent or excessively worn.
Change the oil every 25 hours of use, clean the air filter every 25 hours, and inspect the spark plug, belts, and blades regularly. Refer to the manual for a detailed schedule.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced, ensure tire pressure is even, and verify that the deck is level. Adjust the deck height as necessary.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 or 10W-30 for colder temperatures. Always check the manual for specific recommendations.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire, then remove the deck. Release the belt from the engine pulley, remove the old belt, and install the new belt following the same path. Reattach the deck and spark plug wire.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose components, or damaged deck. Check and tighten all bolts, balance the blades, and inspect the deck for damage.
Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Scrape off any stubborn buildup with a plastic scraper.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed. Check the deck for levelness and adjust tire pressure to ensure even height.
