The recommended oil type for the Toro Wheel Horse 32-12O502 Tractor is SAE 30 for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is turned on, verify that the spark plug is functioning, and make sure the choke is engaged if necessary.
To change the mower deck belt, first disengage the PTO, remove the deck, and then release the tension on the belt. Remove the old belt and install the new one, ensuring it is routed correctly. Reattach the deck and engage the PTO.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of operation, including checking the oil level, air filter, and tire pressure. A full service, including oil change and spark plug replacement, should be done annually.
If the blades do not engage, check the PTO switch and wiring, make sure the deck belt is not broken, and inspect the PTO clutch. Adjust or replace components as necessary.
To check and adjust tire pressure, use a tire gauge to measure the current pressure. Inflate or deflate the tires to the recommended pressure of 10-15 psi for front tires and 8-12 psi for rear tires.
For off-season storage, clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
To improve fuel efficiency, regularly maintain the engine, keep the air filter clean, use the correct grade of oil, ensure tires are properly inflated, and avoid overloading the tractor.
Check that the safety switches, such as the seat switch and brake pedal switch, are operational. Regularly inspect the ROPS and seat belt for wear and damage, and replace any faulty parts immediately.
To troubleshoot uneven cutting, ensure the mower deck is level, check for bent blades, and verify that all tires are inflated to the correct pressure. Adjust the deck height settings as needed.
