To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to fully drain. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with the recommended oil type up to the specified level.
Check the battery connections for tightness and corrosion. Ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plug and replace if necessary. Verify that the safety switches are engaged properly.
Regularly clean the underside of the deck to prevent grass build-up. Sharpen the blades at least once per season or more if needed. Check the belt for wear and replace if frayed or damaged.
The recommended tire pressure is typically around 12-15 psi for both front and rear tires. Always check the sidewall of the tire or the owner's manual for the exact specifications.
Ensure that the tire pressures are equal and correct. Check the cutting deck for levelness and adjust if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10%.
Replace the air filter every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Check it more frequently if operating in dusty conditions.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from the elements.
Locate the throttle cable and adjust the bracket or clamp holding it in place. Ensure the cable moves smoothly and allows the throttle lever to reach both the idle and full throttle stops.
Check for debris or damage on the blades and remove if necessary. Inspect the engine mounting bolts and tighten if loose. Look for any bent or damaged components in the drive system.
