Toro Wheel Horse 265-H 72051 Operator's Manual

To change the oil, park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool. Locate the oil drain plug underneath the engine, place an oil pan beneath it, and remove the plug to drain the oil. Replace the drain plug, remove the oil filter, and install a new one. Finally, refill the engine with the recommended oil type and capacity.
Regularly check and change the oil every 50 hours of operation or annually. Replace the air filter every 100 hours or annually. Check the spark plug annually and replace if necessary. Lubricate moving parts as needed and inspect belts for wear every 25 hours.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace it if necessary. Additionally, check the carburetor for blockages.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent damage to the engine components.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade, unbalanced mower deck, or loose components. Check the blades for damage and balance, tighten any loose bolts, and inspect the deck for alignment.
To improve traction, ensure the tires are properly inflated and consider using tire chains if necessary. Additionally, add weights to the rear of the tractor to increase stability. Always mow slopes up and down rather than across.
If the tractor is cutting unevenly, check the tire pressure to ensure all tires are equally inflated. Inspect the mower deck for any debris or build-up that could be affecting performance. Make sure the blades are sharp and properly balanced.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug for safety. Remove the mower deck to access the belt, then release the belt tensioner. Remove the old belt and install the new one, ensuring it is properly seated on all pulleys. Reattach the mower deck and reconnect the spark plug.
Before storing for winter, clean the tractor thoroughly, and remove any grass or debris. Change the oil and top off the fuel tank, adding a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor or store it in a sheltered area to protect it from the elements.
