Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to 'fast', and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10%.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours, or once per season.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank is full, inspect the spark plug, and verify that the safety switches are engaged.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry location. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Regularly check and clean the air filter, inspect the blades for sharpness, check tire pressure, and lubricate moving parts.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the seat to set the desired cutting height. Ensure the tractor is off and the blades are not spinning when making adjustments.
Check if the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Inspect the deck for any obstructions and ensure it is level.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts, and ensure the engine mounts are secure.
Maintain the front tires at 14 PSI and the rear tires at 10 PSI for optimal performance.
