To change the oil, first, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the oil drain plug located underneath the tractor. Allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with the recommended oil type up to the specified level.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 oil for colder temperatures. These oils provide optimal engine performance and protection.
Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt and replace the blade. Tighten the bolt securely and reconnect the spark plug.
The recommended tire pressure is 10 psi for the front tires and 12 psi for the rear tires. Proper tire pressure ensures optimal traction and comfort.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. Verify the fuel level and that the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired height position. The tractor should be on a level surface when adjusting the cutting height.
Check for any debris stuck in the mower deck or blades. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance and replace them if necessary. Ensure all bolts and connections are tight.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of use or at the beginning of each mowing season. This includes checking the oil, air filter, blades, and overall condition of the tractor.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass, as it can lead to uneven cuts, clumping, and may cause the mower deck to clog. Wait for the grass to dry for optimal mowing conditions.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the tractor in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
