To start the Toro 21000BC Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'Start', and the choke is engaged if the engine is cold. Then, pull the starter rope briskly.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil.
To clean the mower deck, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Use a garden hose to wash off grass clippings. Avoid using high-pressure water, which can damage components.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Verify that the throttle and choke settings are correct.
Before winter storage, drain the fuel tank, change the oil, remove the spark plug and add a teaspoon of oil into the cylinder, and clean the mower thoroughly. Store in a dry, covered location.
Adjust the cutting height by using the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Uncut grass could be due to a dull blade, incorrect cutting height, or mowing too quickly. Sharpen the blade, adjust the height, and reduce speed if necessary.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, then install the new plug and reconnect the wire. Ensure the new plug is properly gapped.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a loose blade, unbalanced blade, or debris stuck in the deck. Tighten the blade, balance it if needed, and remove any debris.
