To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'Fast', and the mower is on a flat surface. Pull the starter handle smoothly to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For colder temperatures, 5W-30 oil is recommended. Be sure to check the oil level before each use.
Sharpen the blades after every 25 hours of use, or if you notice a decline in cutting performance. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and examine the air filter for clogs. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a professional technician.
Locate the air filter cover on the side of the engine, remove it, and replace the old filter with a new one. Ensure the filter is positioned correctly before reattaching the cover.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Adjust all wheels to the same height setting for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level before each use, changing the oil every 50 hours, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blades as needed.
Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings from the underside of the mower deck after each use to prevent buildup.
Check for debris or damage on the blades. Ensure they are balanced and securely fastened. If vibration persists, professional servicing may be required.
Drain the fuel, clean the mower, and remove the spark plug. Store it in a dry area and cover it to protect against dust and moisture. Consider performing end-of-season maintenance.
