To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to 'fast'. Then, turn the ignition key to the 'start' position.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for damage. Also, confirm that all safety switches are engaged.
Blades should be sharpened every 20-25 hours of use to maintain optimal cutting performance and reduce strain on the engine.
Maintain the front tires at 13 psi and the rear tires at 15 psi for optimal performance and stability.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris by using a garden hose to rinse the deck. Ensure the mower is off and cool before cleaning.
Check if the deck is level, inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and ensure the tires are properly inflated.
Run the engine briefly to warm the oil, then stop the engine and drain the oil by removing the drain plug. Replace with new oil as specified in the manual.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion, ensure they are tight, and keep the battery charged during the off-season to prolong its life.
Regular maintenance, such as changing the air filter, spark plug, and keeping the blades sharp, can improve fuel efficiency.
Inspect the blades for damage, check for debris lodged in the deck, and ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened.
