Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10% as they can damage the engine.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always check the oil level before each use.
To sharpen the blades, first disconnect the spark plug wire, then remove the blade. Use a grinder or file to sharpen, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling.
Ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline, check that the spark plug is clean and functioning, and verify that the air filter is not clogged.
Ensure the blades are sharp, the deck is clean, and the tire pressure is correct. Adjust the cutting height as needed for best performance.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for the rear tires and 20 psi for the front tires. Check the pressure regularly for optimal performance.
After each use, use a garden hose to wash the underside of the mower deck. Allow it to dry, and consider applying a silicone spray to reduce future buildup.
Check for debris or damage to the blades, ensure they are balanced, and inspect the engine mount bolts for tightness.
Use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Set all four wheels to the same height position for an even cut.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Consider removing the battery and storing it separately if applicable.
