The Toro TRX-15 22970 Trencher is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
It is recommended to change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Ensure the machine is on a flat surface, disengage the trencher drive, move the choke lever to the choke position, turn the ignition key to start, and then slowly move the choke lever to the run position as the engine warms up.
Check the fuel level, ensure the choke is in the correct position, verify the spark plug is functioning, and inspect the battery connections. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact technical support.
Regularly inspect the chain and sprockets for wear and proper tensioning. Clean and lubricate them every 10 hours of operation to ensure smooth performance.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles, and ear protection. Ensure the area is clear of bystanders and obstacles, and follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines.
Use the depth control lever located on the operator's panel to adjust the trencher's digging depth according to your requirements. Consult the user manual for specific instructions.
Immediately stop the machine, disengage the chain drive, and turn off the engine. Clear any debris or obstruction from the chain area before restarting the trencher.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Clean or replace the filter as needed to ensure optimal engine performance.
To store the trencher, clean it thoroughly, drain the fuel system, change the oil, and store it in a clean, dry place to prevent rust and corrosion. Disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
