To change the oil on your Toro Titan ZX4820, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to warm up the oil. Turn off the engine and remove the key. Place an oil pan under the drain valve, open the drain valve, and allow the old oil to drain completely. Close the drain valve and refill with new oil as specified in your owner's manual.
The Toro Titan ZX4820 74920 Mower uses high-lift blades for most grass types, providing a clean cut. Always refer to the owner's manual for blade specifications and ensure blades are sharp and balanced before use.
If the mower does not start, check the battery connections to ensure they are tight and clean. Verify the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Check the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Lastly, inspect the air filter for clogs or dirt.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, checking tire pressure, and inspecting belts and hoses for wear. Refer to the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual for detailed information.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Uncut grass patches may be caused by dull blades, uneven tire pressure, or mowing too fast. Ensure blades are sharp and balanced, check tire pressure, and mow at a slower speed for optimal results.
To clean the deck, first ensure the mower is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a garden hose to spray the underside of the deck, removing any grass clippings and debris. For stubborn residue, use a putty knife or a deck cleaning tool.
Excessive vibration may result from unbalanced blades, loose components, or debris on the blades. Check that blades are balanced and securely attached, and inspect the mower for any loose parts or debris.
To replace the drive belt, disconnect the spark plug and remove the mower deck. Remove the old belt from the pulleys and install the new belt, ensuring it is routed correctly as per the diagram in your owner's manual. Reattach the deck and reconnect the spark plug.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10%, as they can cause damage to the engine.
