Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the PTO to the 'off' position, move the control levers to the neutral position, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 50 hours thereafter.
Check the PTO switch to ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, and ensure all safety interlocks are engaged properly.
Regularly sharpen the mower blades, keep the underside of the deck clean, and mow at the correct height for the type of grass.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
Check if the deck is level, inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and ensure the tire pressure is even on all wheels.
Regularly check and clean the air filter, inspect and tighten bolts, check tire pressure, and lubricate moving parts as necessary.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or debris lodged in the deck. Check and address these components.
Use the height adjustment lever located on the mower's side. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position.
