To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the control levers are in neutral. Turn the key to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
First, check the PTO switch to ensure it's in the 'on' position. Inspect the drive belt for damage or misalignment. If the belt is fine, check the PTO clutch and wiring connections for issues.
It's recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific guidance.
The recommended tire pressure is typically 12 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires. Check the sidewall of the tires for specific details.
Uneven cutting can be caused by a dull blade, uneven tire pressure, or an improperly leveled deck. Sharpen the blades, check tire pressures, and adjust the deck leveling as needed.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
Excessive vibration can be due to unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or debris caught in the mower deck. Inspect and balance the blades, tighten any loose parts, and remove debris.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height-of-cut lever located near the operator's seat. Adjust it to the desired position to raise or lower the deck.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and verify that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. If the problem persists, consult the service manual or a professional technician.
To replace the air filter, locate the filter housing, remove the cover, and take out the old filter. Insert a new filter and secure the cover. Refer to the owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
