To adjust the cutting height, use the height-of-cut lever located near the seat. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height between 1.5 inches to 5 inches.
Perform maintenance such as checking the engine oil, air filter, and blades before each use. Conduct more thorough checks, such as replacing spark plugs and inspecting belts, every 50 hours of operation or annually.
Ensure the mower is in neutral, the brake is engaged, and the PTO is off. Check the battery connections and charge, inspect the fuel level and quality, and ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped.
Check the sharpness of the blades and replace them if necessary. Ensure the deck is level and the tire pressure is consistent. Also, make sure the mowing speed is appropriate for the grass conditions.
To change the oil, warm up the engine, then turn it off. Remove the drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the plug, add new oil through the filler cap, and ensure the oil level is correct.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or debris stuck in the mower deck. Inspect and correct these issues to reduce vibration.
Blades should be sharpened after approximately every 20-25 hours of use or whenever you notice a decline in cutting performance. Regular inspection will help maintain optimal performance.
After each use, use a low-pressure water source to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid high-pressure washing to prevent damage. Dry the deck thoroughly to prevent rust.
Maintain a regular tune-up schedule, use the correct fuel type, and avoid overloading the engine. Keep the mower deck clean and the blades sharp to ensure efficient operation.
Ensure the transmission is engaged, the parking brake is off, and the hydraulic fluid levels are adequate. Inspect the drive belts for wear and proper tension.
