Ensure the parking brake is set, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, battery charge, and safety interlock switches. Ensure all connections are secure and inspect the spark plug.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Use a high-quality SAE 10W-30 oil that meets or exceeds the API service classification SJ or higher.
Check the tire pressure, ensure the deck is level, and inspect the blades for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace blades as necessary.
Regularly check and clean the air filter, change the oil, inspect and replace spark plugs as needed, and ensure all moving parts are lubricated.
Clean the mower thoroughly, drain the fuel, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or debris caught in the mower deck. Check and address these issues accordingly.
Use the height-of-cut lever located on the side of the mower deck to adjust the cutting height to your desired level.
Ensure the PTO switch is operational, check the belt for wear or damage, and inspect the blade engagement cable for proper tension and connection.
