Ensure the mower is on a flat surface and the parking brake is engaged. Insert the key into the ignition, set the throttle to 'Fast', and turn the key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify the battery is charged and connections are secure. Ensure the safety switches are engaged, and the mower deck is disengaged.
Change the oil every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Always check the oil level before each use.
Regularly clean the mower deck to prevent grass build-up. Check the blade for sharpness and replace if necessary. Also, ensure the deck belt is free from cracks or frays.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower. Move the lever to the desired height setting, ensuring both sides are set equally for an even cut.
Uneven cutting can result from an unlevel mower deck, dull blades, or incorrect tire pressure. Ensure the deck is level, blades are sharp, and tires are inflated properly.
To improve fuel efficiency, regularly maintain your mower, including oil changes and air filter replacements. Use high-quality fuel and avoid overloading the engine.
Locate the air filter cover on the engine, remove it, and take out the old filter. Replace it with a new one, ensuring it is seated correctly, and reattach the cover.
The recommended tire pressure is typically around 13 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Check the owner’s manual for specific guidelines.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and stabilize the fuel. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the battery and charge it periodically.
