To start the Toro Titan Z5200 74818 mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is off, and the motion control levers are in neutral. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has gasoline, and verify that the safety interlocks are engaged. If it still won't start, inspect the spark plug and fuel filter.
Regular maintenance includes changing the oil, replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and checking the tire pressure. Refer to the user manual for the specific maintenance schedule.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 motor oil for optimal performance. Check the owner’s manual for additional specifications based on temperature conditions.
Check if the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Ensure the deck is level and the tire pressure is even. Adjust the deck height if necessary.
Excessive vibration may be due to unbalanced or damaged blades. Inspect the blades and replace them if needed. Check for loose bolts or debris causing the vibration.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height-of-cut lever located on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired position for the required cutting height.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the deck with a hose or a leaf blower. For thorough cleaning, safely lift the mower and scrape the deck clean.
Ensure the mower is off and the ignition key is removed. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolts, replace the blades, and securely tighten the bolts.
Clean the mower thoroughly, perform necessary maintenance, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the battery and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank.
