To start the Toro TimeMaster 76-cm 20975 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the blade control lever is engaged. Then, pull the recoil starter handle firmly.
Use SAE 30 detergent oil with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL or higher. Check the oil level before each use.
Check if the mower deck is level. Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Also, inspect the wheels to make sure they're not damaged or worn out.
After each use, clean the mower deck by rinsing it with a garden hose. Ensure the mower is turned off and cool before cleaning. Avoid using high-pressure washers.
Replace the air filter every 25 hours of operation or more frequently if you operate the mower in dusty conditions.
Check the fuel level and quality. Ensure the spark plug is clean and securely connected. Verify the safety features are not preventing the start, such as the blade control lever.
Move the height-of-cut lever located on each wheel to adjust the cutting height. Ensure all four levers are set to the same height for an even cut.
Sharpen the blade every 25 hours of usage or more often if needed. Always balance the blade after sharpening to ensure smooth operation.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris caught in the mower. Inspect and tighten parts, balance the blade, and clear any debris.
