Ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Sit on the seat, engage the parking brake, and set the throttle to the 'fast' position. Turn the key to the 'start' position until the engine starts.
Check the fuel level and ensure the battery is charged. Make sure the parking brake is engaged and the mower deck is disengaged. Examine the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season, whichever comes first. Refer to the owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
Check if the mower deck is level. Inspect the blades for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Ensure the tire pressure is even on all tires.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. Ensure the deck is level after adjustment.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect and sharpen the blades, and check tire pressure. Lubricate moving parts as specified in the owner’s manual.
Ensure the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch is engaged. Check the belt for wear or damage, and inspect the PTO clutch and switch for proper function.
Inspect the blades for damage and balance. Check if the mower deck is securely attached and examine the engine mounts. Tighten any loose components.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove or stabilize the fuel, and change the oil. Store the mower in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery and charge it periodically if storing for an extended period.
Ensure the bypass levers are in the operating position. Check the drive belt for damage or disconnection. Inspect the hydrostatic transmission fluid level.
