Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to 'Fast', and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use the deck lift lever located on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position marked on the deck.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, verify the spark plug is in good condition, and ensure the safety switches are engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Check the tire pressure, ensure the mower deck is level, and inspect the blades for damage or wear.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery and store it in a cool dry place, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove the blade bolts using a wrench, replace with new blades, and secure the bolts tightly.
Check for debris stuck in the blades, ensure the blades are not bent or damaged, and verify that all bolts are tightened properly.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, clean it with compressed air, or replace it if it's too dirty or damaged.
